1. Distinguish according to the characteristics of battery electrode planning
In the production planning of commonly used storage battery, the thicker one end of the battery post is positive electrode, and the thinner one is negative electrode. The color of the battery post can be identified together, in which the positive pole is dark brown, while the negative pole is dark gray. In addition, the positive and negative signs of some batteries are marked with English letters, i.e. P is marked as positive electrode and N as negative electrode, which can never be mistaken during repair and charging.
2. Use multimeter to measure voltage block
The multimeter can be turned to the DC gear, and the two probes are respectively connected to the two electrodes of the battery. If the battery displays the normal voltage value at this time, it is proved that the electrode touched by the red probe is the positive electrode of the battery, while the negative electrode is at the black probe. Sometimes it is measured that there is no normal voltage in the battery, then the weak micro storage capacity of the battery can be measured to distinguish. When the two probes touch the battery electrode, if the probe shakes slightly to the right, it is proved that the positive electrode of the battery is at the red pen and the negative electrode is at the black pen. However, if the pointer of the multimeter moves to the left (the pointer reversely strikes), it is proved that the place where the red pen touches is the negative electrode of the battery.
3. Select short circuit of conductor for identification
Two copper core power cables are respectively connected to the electrodes of the old battery that are to be measured, and then pour the electrolyte (brine) which is normally equipped with them into a glass teacup, and insert two ends of the power cord into the teacup respectively, and place them on the sides of the glass cup respectively (the two line can not be touched in the cup), then investigate the bubbling state of the respective lead ends in the electrolyte, assuming that the bubbles of a certain wire line end are bubbles. When there are more bubbles on the top, it means that one end of the power line connecting the battery is a negative electrode, and the other end of the bubble is a positive electrode.
4. Measurement with rectifier diode
The rectifying diode in the power supply regulator has the function of unidirectional conduction, so we can find a rectifying diode. A 40W incandescent lamp. Then we connect it in series according to the sequence of one battery pole → diode + end → diode end → incandescent lamp → another battery pole to form a series circuit of electric lamps. At this time, if the incandescent lamp in the circuit is lighted, we can prove that the diode pole and the battery pole The connection is the positive electrode of the battery, and the other end is the negative electrode of the battery.
