# Calculation Method of Panasonic Battery Capacity

Although Panasonic batteries are used in many places, many people do not know the calculation method of Panasonic battery capacity, so let Xiaobian introduce it to you in detail today.
1. Matsushita Battery Planning for Decades of Life: 109 (Ah. Block)/KVA
The following formulas are used for calculation:
Battery capacity required (AH) =[UPS capacity (KVA)*109 (ampere. block)/KVA]/Number of batteries per group (block)
For example, a 120 KVA UPS with 32 batteries per group requires 60 minutes of backup time. The required battery capacity is
120KVA*109(ampere.block)/KVA=13080(ampere.block), 13080 ampere.hour.block/32 block=409(ampere.time),
Four batteries of 12V and 100AH can be selected; 32 batteries per group. Note: There is a shortage of 60 minutes in practice reserve time (a little less).
If 33 blocks/group, 13080/33 = 396 (ampere-hour), the same can be selected 12V, 100AH Panasonic battery 4 groups; 33 blocks/group. Note: Practice backup time exceeds 60 minutes (a little more).
If the reserve time is required for 30 minutes, then 109 *120 = 13080 (ampere. block), 13080/32 = 409 (ampere. hour),
409/2 = 205 (ampere hour).
Because the discharge power of the battery is not linear with the discharge time, that is, it can not be simply divided by 2, but also multiplied by a correction factor, as shown in the table below, 205 x 1.23 = 252 ampere-hour. Four batteries of 12V and 65AH can be selected, 32 batteries per group. Note: Practice backup time exceeds 30 minutes (a little more).
If the reserve time is required for 20 minutes, 409/3 = 136 (ampere hour), and a correction factor is needed. See the table below, 136 *1.41 = 192 (ampere hour), you can choose 12V, 65AH Panasonic Battery Group 3; 32 blocks/group. Note: Practice backup time exceeds 20 minutes (a little more).

2. Panasonic batteries with five-year life planning: 126 (ampere. block)/KVA
The accounting method and multiplying correction coefficient are exactly the same as those mentioned above; only 109 of the above formula should be replaced by 126.
